The Gear

It IS about the gear...

I never stop smiling when I hear that famous phrase: "It's not about the gear!" So let me tell you that it is not about the gear ONLY. You could have the best eye in the universe and see things that other people can't, but when your camera is not capable of capturing the exact moment you need, your image is doomed. However it is not about the brand. And I'm glad to see that in recent years, other brands have joined the battle between Canon and Nikon. So welcome back Fuji, nice meeting you Sony. I personally can't wait to see what will be introduced after A7RII and am thinking about a major switch personally.

It is not really important what gear I personally have but fellow photographers usually tend to ask, so I've decided to keep you updated. If you were curious why I don't have any lens between 35mm and 70mm, it's because I currently feel I don't need any. As easy as that.

So my gear currently consists of...

  • Canon 6D Camera
  • Canon 14mm f/2,8L II
  • Canon 16-35mm f/4L IS
  • Canon 100mm f/2,8L
  • Canon 70-200mm f/2,8L
  • Canon 2x III Extender
  • Gitzo GT1541T Tripod plus Gitzo GH1382TQD Head
  • Photo Backpacks: National Geographic (carry-on), Naneu Outlander 50L (large)
  • all sorts of BW filters plus a remote release cord (an absolute must)
